Dear friends and community,

I find myself swallowing my pride as I reach out to you all for support during a challenging time in my life. I understand that we all have our own struggles, and it's never easy to ask for help, but I believe in the power of community and coming together. With healing, I am hoping to continue to mold a beautiful life for us.

Over a year ago, my husband and I separated. No time was wasted on his part to start a new life with someone else (reason for separation). This shift has opened my eyes to the reality that my previous relationship was not only difficult but also mentally and emotionally abusive and draining. As I take steps toward a healthier future for myself and my son, Idris, I am reminded of the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for him.

Idris deserves to grow up surrounded by love and positivity, far removed from the shadows of past struggles. While I believe that having both parents in his life is important, it is equally important that he feels secure and happy and has a safe place to call home. I want to break the cycle of negativity and show him the strength that comes from resilience and love.

In this journey, I am also working to relocate back to Kansas, where my family and home await. The court costs associated with all of this are adding up, and I am turning to you, my incredible community, for support. Your generosity can help me provide Idris with the upbringing he truly deserves.
