Meet my sister, Bobbi. Anyone that knows her will tell you that she is one of the most generous people they have ever met. You know that woman that stops to give a stranger some food? That person that will ask you if you are okay when they see you looking sad, even though they’ve never met you? That is Bobbi. She doesn’t have much, but she would always share it.
She’s had a rough time of it these past couple of years. She was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer that had spread to lymph nodes. After months of surgeries and treatments, she finally went into remission. Then, she became very ill. We all thought it must be the cancer. Turns out her heart was not working correctly. Although she has congestive heart failure, she fought hard to recover and gain back strength. Then just a few months later, she was back in the hospital in septic shock. Emergency surgery revealed that her colon had twisted and become necrotic. She was so used to feeling weak and sick, that she had no clue what was going on inside her body and how close she had come to death once again. She is home and continuing to recover from this recent surgery.
Then last night, her car was broken into, stolen, and involved in a serious accident. It was beyond totaled.
Police woke her up in the middle of the night to give her the news. Right now, she is feeling violated.
Life has exhausted her. She is a single mom on a limited income. Her car is her means to her treatments and doctor appointments. It’s not new or fancy by any means.
The horrible part is she had just reduced her insurance coverage due to the high cost.
If she gets any reimbursement, it will not be much.
I want to raise as much money as I can for her to be able to buy an old used vehicle. She has always practiced charity and service to others. I want to show her that karma she deserves.
Please help me, if you are able. If you have been blessed, this is a great opportunity to pay it forward! I realize many people are struggling with this economy. If you cannot donate, please at least share.
Thank you so so much!
