A New Camera for Phid in Challenging Haiti
Donation protected
In 2022, when I went to Haiti, I met a fellow photographer at the Midwife graduation I was photographing. Since then, we have stayed in touch through WhatsApp. We share our photos with each other as photographers do, but Phid also shares with me his struggles that his camera is very old and barely working anymore, making it very difficult for him to work. Of course, Haiti is in a very bad situation currently, so he is really struggling.
This trip to Haiti is very short notice, but I would love to find a used camera and lens to buy and bring to Phid so he can continue to do his work in Haiti. Since this is such short notice, I have some money to put towards a used Canon camera but was hoping to raise a few hundred to help pay for this and bring him a good upgrade camera and lens. Unfortunately, all my equipment is Nikon and he is a Canon user.
Any donations are greatly appreciated!!!! I am leaving 3/8/25. And even if anyone local has Canon equipment you don’t use anymore that you are willing to part with, any and all donations would be amazing. I know I greatly appreciate all the people who helped me in the beginning…well, my husband… so I would love to do the same for another fellow photographer.
The woman listing the camera dropped the price to $500 and I have $200.
