At just three months old, Owen is already discovering the joy of smiling. His eyes light up when his family speaks to him, and even though he can’t form words yet, his face is full of expression and potential.
But Owen was born with a cleft lip, an alveolar deformity, and a nasal deformity—conditions that make something as simple as eating or smiling much more difficult. Feeding requires special care, and each bottle is a challenge. As he grows, he may also struggle with speech and face a higher risk of ear infections and other complications.
Owen will likely need ongoing speech therapy to help him learn how to produce sounds clearly and communicate confidently. These sessions will be an essential part of his development, ensuring that his voice is just as strong and bright as his smile.
Without treatment, Owen faces more than just physical difficulties. Children with visible facial differences are often teased or excluded, and the emotional impact can last for years. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Owen’s medical team has recommended cleft lip and nasal surgery, along with treatment for his alveolar deformity, to give him the best start in life. These procedures will help him eat, breathe, and eventually speak more easily—but just as importantly, they will help him grow into the confident, happy child he’s meant to be.
This is just the beginning. This surgery is only the first of several procedures Owen will need as he grows. Each one will help him heal—physically, emotionally, and socially. These milestones aren’t just medical—they are steps toward a fuller life. With the right care, support, and therapies like speech treatment, Owen can overcome these early challenges and grow up knowing that his condition does not define him.
We’re reaching out with hope in our hearts—asking for your help to give Owen the care he needs. Whether it’s a few dollars or simply sharing his story, every act of kindness brings us one step closer to giving him a brighter future.
Thank you for being part of Owen’s story. Your support means more than we can express—and it truly makes a difference.
