A New Beginning for Joan: Recovery After the Flood

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Jonathan Partlow and I am reaching out to share a heartbreaking situation my grandmother, Joan Goldhammer, is facing. Joan has lived in her home in Ruskin, FL, for over 20 years with her late husband, Peter. Unfortunately, just months after Peter’s passing in December, Hurricane Helene struck, causing devastating flooding in her home.

Joan has been navigating life without Peter by her side, and we were in the process of moving her into an apartment closer to us in Tampa when the storm hit. Sadly, she did not have flood insurance, and the flooding resulted in the loss of everything she held dear, including cherished mementoes from her life with Peter.
