My name is Francisco, and I’m reaching out for support as I recover from open heart surgery. After spending a long time in the hospital and nursing home, I’m finally about to be discharged. While I’m grateful my mother is welcoming me into her home, I’m starting over with almost nothing—no money, no clothes, and no shoes. This past year has been the hardest of my life, and I’m just trying to get back on my feet after being so sick for so long.
