A neighbour needs some kindness from strangers

Hello to anyone out there reading this.

We've turned to try a GoFundMe as we are out of options, and our neighbour is in need of kindness from strangers.

We are attempting to raise money for our neighbour who has recently and suddenly been illegally evicted from her home of 12 years.

Her landlord, without notice, knocked on her door late at night and forcibly took her out of the building once she answered. They had a locksmith with them and changed the locks whilst she was outside, locking her and her dog out whilst all of her belongings were locked inside.

She has been homeless for two weeks. We are currently financing her day to day and accompanying her to get housing and benefits, but unfortunately, the system is extremely unkind.

All of the local shelters and homeless services are either full or cost up to £80 for a room per night. Despite visiting homeless services daily and contacting social services several times, there seems to be no urgency on the matter.

We, her three neighbours, have come together to make sure she is not sleeping on the streets, and we are currently paying for a room in a hostel, which costs £65 per night.

Before coming into some difficulties, she was a talented seamstress and had a love of fashion. We are hoping to get her back to doing what she loves and working once she has somewhere to call home again.
