Hi Friends!

My name is Patty Lynch. I'd like to introduce you to a lovely woman, Ellie, who I met 3 years ago while she was walking her puppy, Heidi, and I was walking my puppy. Since then, we have become dear friends and many others in our neighborhood have gotten to know and love Ellie and Heidi as well.

Let me tell you about them:

At 82 years old, Ellie has spent her entire life in the home where she grew up. Every room holds memories of family, laughter, and a lifetime of experiences. Today, she shares that beloved home with her loyal dachshund, Heidi, who provides comfort and companionship through life's challenges.

Recently, Ellie has faced some of the most difficult days of her life. In just two short weeks, she suffered two strokes, adding to the lasting effects of another stroke she experienced seven years ago. These health setbacks have left her struggling to regain her strength and independence while facing an overwhelming burden of medical expenses.

Like many seniors living on a fixed income, Ellie simply does not have the financial resources to cover the mounting costs of hospital stays, medical treatments, medications, rehabilitation, follow-up care, and daily living expenses. As the medical bills continue to arrive, the stress of how to pay them has become almost as overwhelming as the recovery itself.

At the same time, the home Ellie has cherished for more than eight decades is in need of important repairs to keep it safe and comfortable. She also needs access to nutritious meals that will support her recovery and improve her overall health—something that has become increasingly difficult to afford.

Anyone who knows Ellie knows she is a kind, humble, and resilient woman who has always worked hard and never asked for help. But now, she is facing challenges that no one should have to face alone.
