Friday we took our cat to LA PETS GROOMING in Diamond Bar and got the most heartbreaking phone call that our cat Baby had “passed out” on the grooming table and they had to run her over to the vet across the street. I called the vet clinic to see what was going on and they said she was already dead when the groomer had brought her over. My Baby was young , feisty, and most importantly completely healthy. This should’ve never happened. We went back to the groomer and asked exactly what happened and we couldn’t get straight answers. The owner and groomer had different stories/stumbling over their sentences and the vet didn’t want to speak up and voice his professional opinion about what he thought had happened to my cat, he didn’t want to get involved. She had been at the groomers for over 5.5 hours for a lions cut, bath and nail trimming. Then they call me to say she just passed out as they were shaving her? This makes no sense.. what were you doing for the last 5 hours before you called me!!!! We got home and started looking up what we should do/investigate a little more on this groomer. As we were looking we come across another family’s post that their 3 year old pup had passed away and the same situation happened to them 5 months ago AT THE SAME GROOMING PLACE. This is NOT an accident, there was nothing wrong with our animals to pass out on the grooming table. What is this sick place doing to our animals!! How many more animals need to die because of this place?? This cat was not just our property that was taken from us, this was a member of our family. Every time she came running into a room it would put a big smile on our boys faces. We never got to say bye to her or hug her one more time. Our next step is to find out what actually happened to our cat which is to get her a necropsy. We were informed that it will cost in between $800-$3000. If we can get a necropsy then we can start a case against this groomer with animal control and charges will be filed against them for neglecting our babies!!
