A Murderous Melody: Student Short Film

Hey my name is Riley, I'm the cinematographer on the short film A Murderous Melody which is a horror slasher/musical short film being created for our major project for our degree. We are all super passionate about this film and want to see it to the fullest potential we can achieve. For a brief idea here is our synopsis:

Synopsis:

We're a small crew of 6 very passionate students and we're in the final stages of pre-production as we speak with the goal of having the shoot finished by the end of September and the final cut finished by October in time for the due date and to be submitted to film festivals.

Crew:

To get a good idea of the conceptual look and feel we are aiming for here is the mood board that was created for our pitch deck

Look and Feel:

As a crew, we're heavily influenced by the works of Ti West with Pearl or Damien Chazelle's La La Land and are hoping we can create a film that is both gruesome in its gore and whimsical and fun with its 50's era musical numbers.

We have the goal of raising $1000 for our film to really allow us to fully realise the potential of our film for purchasing props, hiring locations and catering for the cast and crew over our shoot days, every little bit helps us enormously. We're all super passionate about this film and want it to turn out as best as it can.
