My name is Charlotte, I am undergoing extensive neurological testing and on top of that my daughter also needs the help for her psychologist to help fund her an easier route for schooling.

As a mum, my instinct has always been to push through anything for my child. But right now, we’re facing two medical journeys at once, and I can’t do this alone.

I am currently undergoing neurology care for ongoing health issues that affect my daily functioning, stability, and ability to work consistently. These investigations, appointments, treatments, and medications come with significant out-of-pocket costs that quickly add up, especially when care can’t be delayed.

At the same time, my daughter is on her own journey. She is autistic & ADHD, and like many neurodivergent children, she needs specialised support to help her thrive, including assessments, therapies, educational resources, and tools that support her emotional regulation, communication, and development. These supports are essential, but they are also expensive and often only partially covered.

Every decision I make is about choosing between needs, my health, or her future, no parent should have to make that choice.
