A mum fighting for life and a family in need

How do you tell a mother of four that she’s been struck by a life-threatening illness so rare, the odds are one in a million?
That’s the reality we’re facing right now.
Robin Pantours is currently fighting for her life in the ICU at Frankston Hospital after being suddenly and severely affected by typical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), a rare and dangerous condition that attacks the kidneys and blood.
When I speak to her, even in her weakest moments, her only concerns are for others: her partner (my brother, Michael), her children, and even her beloved dog. As a mum, especially this one it's always everyone else first, even as she fights for her own life.
But now, on top of a medical crisis, her family is facing the crushing weight of financial stress: medical costs, mortgage payments, household bills, and the day-to-day needs of four children. Times were already tough, now they’re unimaginable. And none of this is due to any choice or mistake, it’s simply the hand they’ve been dealt.
With all my heart, I’m asking: if you’re in a position to help, any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward easing the immense pressure this family is under. Your kindness will help keep them afloat during this devastating time.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting in any way you can.
