While our relationship with her had its complexities, she was loved, she was our sister—and she was a mother. Her sudden passing has forever changed the lives of those she left behind, especially her youngest son.

At just 17 years old, he found his mother unresponsive. No teenager should have to face such a moment, and from that day forward, his world was changed forever. Within the same week he turned 18 a young adult who wants to remains in the home they once shared, navigating early adulthood without the presence, comfort, or guidance of his mother.

The financial burden of funeral and burial expenses has fallen on her children. Her eldest son will be traveling from New York to Texas to say goodbye, adding to the emotional and financial strain.
