A Mother's Sacrifice: Help Her Educate Her Twins

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Ceren. I want to share Nagasha's story – a Ugandan mother whose sacrifices for her children will break your heart and inspire you.
Imagine leaving your children to give them a chance at a life free from poverty. That's the impossible choice Nagasha had to make.
She escaped a human trafficking agency, abuse and modern-day slavery, lost her husband and mother, and now endures the pain of separation from her sons. Yet, her love and determination shine through.
Nagasha is one of the most humble, full of love, purest hearts I have ever met. While she did not ask me for help, and struggles with receiving it, I am committed to making sure she never has to face hardship like this again.

Nagasha’s story in her own words:
“I'm Prudence Nagasha, a 32-year-old single mother of twin boys, Agaba Divine and Ahabwe Destiny. I grew up into a poor family of 7 kids in Bushenyi district in Uganda, dreaming of an education. I was always good in school, and was able to earn a law degree in hopes of becoming a lawyer. However before finishing, at 21 I fell pregnant and a year later, my boys' father died, and I sacrificed my career to raise them.
To provide, I fled Uganda in hopes of making more money abroad. I was sent with an agency to become a housemaid in Jordan – I didn’t know it would be my ticket to death. It was a nightmare of abuse and modern day slavery. The mother of the family only allowed me to eat their leftovers once a day, and beat me when she didn’t like my performance. She said African women are strong. When I asked the father to leave, he refused to give me my passport. I waited months for a day where I could escape, and fled with just my clothes to the police which eventually deported me back to Uganda penniless.
In Uganda, I felt like I failed my kids. I sacrificed time away from them for a better life and money, but it was all for nothing. I had two choices, give up, or keep trying. Determined to provide, I fled to the UAE, desperate for a better life. I worked with a Pakistani family, who were my angels. After a few years they helped me get my driving license and secured me with a taxi agency where now I work as a female taxi driver.
With my salary, I managed to put my boys in school, but then my mother, their only caretaker, passed away. Medical bills drained my savings and now with no family support, I had to place the boys in boarding school. The fees alone are overwhelming. I long to be with them, but staying here is their only chance. If I go home, we all starve.
My dream is to earn enough to be near my sons – to raise them myself, to see them reach university. A kind woman, Miss Ceren, is helping me set up this fundraiser. Thank you to all the angels that are helping me give my children the future and mother they deserve. May God Bless you all.”
