A Mother’s Plea: Help My Son Nico Fight MEN1 & Pancreatic Cancer

As a mother, nothing prepares you for watching your child — no matter how grown — face a life-threatening illness.

My son Nico has always been a man of deep faith, compassion, and strength. He has spent his life serving others — as a loving father, a devoted husband, a small business owner who treats his employees like family, and a faithful leader in his local church. For over two years now, Nico has been battling a rare and inherited genetic disorder called MEN1 (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1), which causes tumors in the endocrine system — including the pancreas, where the most serious threat now lies.

Despite all he’s endured, he’s remained positive and committed to continuing his work and providing for his family and community. But now, we are in an urgent stage of his illness, and I’m asking — as a mother who would do anything to take this burden from him — for your help.

Two Years Into the Battle

This journey began more than two years ago with a series of complicated symptoms, leading to the MEN1 diagnosis. Since then, Nico has undergone countless labs, scans, consultations, and treatments — all while continuing to work and lead his team. But now, the focus is on a tumor in his pancreas that requires specialized injection-based treatments to slow the cancer’s growth. These injections are not fully covered by insurance, and the costs are overwhelming.

Holding on Through Financial Strain

Over time, the financial strain has taken its toll. As a self-employed small business owner, Nico has fought to keep his company running, supporting his team even through his hardest days. He’s never wanted a handout — only the chance to keep working, keep giving, and keep living.
