Hi, I’m Megan from Oklahoma, and I’m reaching out with a mother’s desperate plea for help.

I have a 12-year-old daughter who has been struggling with severe mental health challenges since she was just 3 years old. Over the years, she’s been diagnosed with DMDD (Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder), Generalized Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, and more. She’s been in therapy most of her life and has tried countless medications — literally over 100 — but nothing has brought lasting relief.

Three years ago, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to remove her from my home due to her violent outbursts toward her siblings. It’s something no parent ever wants to face, and it still breaks my heart. But even through all the chaos, I know my daughter wants to be better.

After one of her rages, she often collapses in my arms, sobbing and begging for help. She tells me she doesn’t understand why she acts this way — and I believe her. She’s not a bad kid. She’s a hurting kid.

That’s why we’re turning to the Amen Clinics, where they do in-depth SPECT brain scans that look at how the brain functions — something no test or treatment has done for her so far. These scans could finally give us real answers and a real path forward.

Unfortunately, the Amen Clinics don’t accept insurance and don’t offer financial assistance. The full cost is $5,395, plus travel expenses since the closest location is 6 hours away from us.

I’m asking for your help — not just for my daughter, but for our entire family. We want our girl back. We want to understand what’s really going on in her brain and how we can help her heal.
