my sister is currently navigating a journey no one could have prepared for. Our sweet baby girl, G, is currently in the hospital fighting two major health battles at once.

G has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome condition, alongside a congenital heart condition where she only has two heart valves instead of three. Right now, her life is a whirlwind of monitors, oxygen support, and tube feedings.

The Reality for Our Family

While Baby G fights in the hospital, her mother is doing the impossible. As a single mother of six, she is balancing the needs of G’s three brothers and two sisters at home while ensuring G is never alone.

Because G is in a specialized ward, my sister has to travel a significant distance every single day. Without a car, she relies on daily train travel & other transport to get to the hospital and back. The cost of these tickets, combined with the logistics of caring for five other children and being there for a sick baby, is becoming an overwhelming .
