A Mother's Loss at Christmas

Donation protected
2020 has been one of the most trying times for so many, especially those who mourn the loss of loved ones. On the morning of Christmas, my cousin Peter became the 334th victim to gun violence in Baltimore City, he was only 18 years old.  Peter was a vibrant, free spirited student, friend, buddy, cousin, nephew, and son. He was a shining star wherever he went and even for a short time knowing him, you'd grow to love him. It was on the morning of his death while at work, his mother received the devastating phone call.  From that moment, our family and an entire community was broken. Gone too soon!

Roseline, is a single mother, with three other children in the home.  For many years she has struggled to maintain a household for her children, with love as a foundation and centerfold of everything.  Peter grew up in the church. He was an athlete at heart, playing basketball and football.  One his last words to us during a birthday speech was, "I'm gonna be the G.O.A.T one day".  To this day, we'll remember him as such!

It's sad to imagine a mother burying her child at such a tender age and during these times. Though my cousin's life is irreplaceable, my hope is to speak to the compassionate hearts of any who is willing to help in filling the void in this family in need.

The funds raised will be to help with expenses accrued toward funeral.  The funeral is slated for January 9th, 2021.
