Hello everyone, my name is Jessica, and I never imagined I’d be here sharing something so personal and vulnerable. Earlier this year in March , the I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) — a rare and serious autoimmune disorder that suddenly changed my life and the life of my family.
From walking and being independent to now needing full-time care has been one of the hardest battles I’ve ever faced. My husband has become my full-time caregiver, taking care of me day and night, while also doing small jobs here and there to try to support our little family. Together, we’re also raising our children who are our biggest motivation to keep going, even on the toughest days.
Each day is a challenge, but I’m holding on to faith and hope.
Donations will go directly toward:
Daily expenses for our children and family
Co-pays for doctor and therapy appointments
⛽ Gas and transportation to and from my many medical visits
Groceries and basic necessities
Medications that my insurance only partially covers
Medical supplies like adult briefs, bed pads, and other things I now depend on
It’s very hard for me to ask for help, but the truth is — we can’t do this alone anymore. Every little bit helps more than you know. Whether it’s $5, $10, or simply sharing our story, it means the world to us.
Recently, our story aired on Telemundo, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share awareness about Guillain-Barré Syndrome. I will also be featured on KWTX News 10 this Monday, October 13, 2025, hoping to reach more hearts willing to help our family during this very difficult time.
De todo corazón, gracias to everyone who has prayed for us, supported us, and believed in my recovery. Your kindness, donations, and words of encouragement give us the strength to keep fighting every single day.
If you find it in your heart to help — please donate or share our GoFundMe.
It would truly be a blessing to our family.
Con mucho amor y gratitud,
Jessica & Family
