A Mother’s Hope for Her Son’s Future

My eldest son is about to begin his journey studying Plumbing at Pennsylvania College of Technology, and I could not be prouder of the young man he has become. All through high school, he showed a work ethic far beyond his years—holding down a full-time job, running track, and still walking across the stage with his diploma in hand. Shortly after, he bought his first car, started a new summer job, and set his heart on the next big goal: going to college to gain the skills and knowledge to one day run his own business.

As his mother, raising four children on my own has not been easy. There have been long days and sleepless nights, but seeing my son’s determination and accomplishments makes every sacrifice worth it. Still, the reality is that sending him to college is more than I can afford on my own.
