A Mother's Heartbreak: Bring Her Son Home

As-salamu alaykum,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of a grieving mother who has lived in the United States for over 32 years. She recently received devastating news: her only son has passed away in Ethiopia.

This mother is originally from Liberia, and due to her immigration status, she has not been able to return home or see her son in all those 32 years. Now, in the most painful moment of her life, she is still unable to travel — unable to hold her son, say goodbye, or bury him herself.

The only thing she can do now is try to bring his body home to her in America, so she can give him the proper burial he deserves.

The total cost to transport her son’s body is $6,500. So far, just over $2000has been raised by a small group of community members — the few people she knows and who have rallied to support her.

We are now humbly asking for your help to raise the remaining $4,500
