On Tuesday, March 29th, Lana Novia received a call that her son Jacob Sundese, just 27 years old from Stafford Springs CT, had attempted to take his own life. Jacob suffered an anoxic brain injury and was pronounced clinically deceased at 3:10 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Jacob leaves behind many family members who love him, including his wife Kirra and their beautiful 4-year-old baby boy, Jacob's pride and joy, Lyght Moon.
Together, Lana and Kirra made the decision to donate Jacob's organs, and at 8:45 pm on March 31st their selfless gifts began the journey to give life to four people anxiously awaiting a chance to live; one of the recipients will receive two gifts. Unfortunately, this is not Lana's first experience with organ donation. In 1993 Lana's 14-month-old son Alijah was the recipient of a liver transplant, and although his little body did not accept the donation, Lana has been eternally grateful for her son to have had a chance. In 1997 Lana lost her little girl Xena to spinal muscular atrophy at only 11 months old. Lana donated her little girl's organs so that another mother did not have to feel the pain she had felt twice. Lana is now to bury her third child and is only comforted by her faith that Alijah, Xena, and Jacob are together in heaven and that her mother Vianne is with them.
When tragedy falls upon us, we are rarely ever ready or financially prepared. Lana has dedicated her life to a career in healthcare where she is always helping others. Even at a young age, she selflessly gave the gift of life through her daughter Xena in 1997 and now through her son Jacob. I am hoping to give Lana the gift of financial peace by collecting enough donations to cover all of Jacob's funeral and burial expenses. I would like to alleviate Lana and Kirra of the financial burden that goes with the planning of Jacob's services, so that they may focus on Lyght and celebrate Jacob's life and eternal peace.
All donations will be directly applied to Jacob Sundese's final expenses for Lana Novia and Kirra Sundese.
Thank you everyone for helping to support this family that I love so much!
