A Mother’s Final Wish: One Last Trip to Disneyland with Her Girls
In June 2023, our lives changed forever.
My beautiful little sister — a devoted, selfless mother of two young girls — was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer with metastases. By the time doctors found it, it had already spread through 75% of her bones. Five tumors had taken hold in her brain.
The diagnosis was devastating. But even more incredible was how she chose to face it.
Despite unimaginable pain, endless treatments, and a prognosis that would break anyone's spirit, she kept showing up — with strength, with grace, and most of all, with love — for her daughters. Her girls are her world, and every single day since her diagnosis, she’s fought harder than anyone should ever have to… just to be with them.
But now… we’ve been given the heartbreaking news that her treatment is no longer working. The doctors have shortened her timeline.
So now, our focus has shifted — from fighting to honoring. From surviving to cherishing.
Her final wish?
To take her two little girls to Disneyland.
She dreams of holding their tiny hands as they walk through the park. Laughing with them as they meet their favorite characters. Watching their faces light up with joy and wonder — memories that will stay with them long after she’s gone.
This trip is more than a vacation.
It's one last chance to give her daughters the gift of happiness and magic with their mom.
