A Mother’s Fight: Siret’s Story
Hi everyone, my name is Gianni Capone and this is the story of my girlfriend Siret, a 48-year-old woman from Haapsalu, Estonia. A mother. A provider. A fighter.
Just a few months ago, in October 2024, Siret was living a quiet life, raising her two children and working hard to support her family on her own. Life was never easy, but she carried it all with quiet strength—until her world was turned upside down.
What started as unexplained pain soon led to a devastating diagnosis: Epithelioid Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Doctors began chemotherapy immediately, but the treatment didn’t work. Instead of improving, Siret’s condition worsened.
By early 2025, the cancer continued growing and also had caused a hole in both her intestine and bladder—life-threatening complications that bring intense pain and suffering every single day. Then came the most crushing blow: the hospital in Tallinn told her there was nothing more they could do. No further treatments were available in Estonia.
She was sent home.
But how can a mother simply go home when her children still need her? How can she give up, when life is still burning inside her?
There is still hope. Specialized sarcoma hospitals abroad offer advanced treatments and surgeries that could save her life. But hope comes with a heavy price tag. And for Siret, who now cannot work and receives only a few hundred euros in state support, those medical bills are completely out of reach.
Every day is a battle—not just against cancer, but against time, fear, and financial despair.
That’s why we are turning to you. To ask for your help.
To stand beside Siret when her own healthcare system cannot.
To give her a chance to see her children grow up.
Your donation, no matter how small, can help cover the costs of life-saving treatment. And if you can’t give, sharing her story could help it reach someone who can.
Let’s not let this story end here. Help us write a new chapter for Siret—one filled with hope, healing, and time.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Thank you!
