A Mother's Fight: Overcoming Health Challenges
Donation protected
Hi Friends,
As some know, March 12, 2025, started off as any other regular day. (Suffering from POTS syndrome, most days I have to sit out because I’m too weak to interact.) While driving myself to the hospital for a corneal abrasion, I began to experience extreme tingling in my limbs. My face began to droop, my vision became blurry, and my speech was very slow and drawn out. I made it to the hospital and spent about an hour trying to make it to the door myself (my pride) until I was too tired and too unsteady. I called the ER and told them I’m in the parking lot and I believe I’m showing signs of a stroke.
FWD - I’m now 6 days in the hospital with no muscle strength, barely any vision in my left eye, and I have to have assistance moving around; otherwise, I look like a newborn fawn. I’m now transferring to an assisted living facility to begin OT/PT for the next 3+ weeks. My pride hurts to even make this or even ask for help, as you can imagine, expenses are piling up and my inability to work has put a heavy burden and an immense amount of stress on me to keep a roof over my children’s heads and a safe vehicle to go to appointments.
I know times are tough and people don’t have the extra funds, but if you find it in your heart to donate and take the burden of making sure my rent and car note are paid while I stay in an assisted living facility away from my kids for weeks, it would be more than appreciated. If you can’t donate, please share, send prayers, and good vibes to us Be kind, friends.
