Hey everyone,
This isn’t an easy post to make… but life has a way of humbling you and showing how much we really need each other sometimes.
My name is Brittany, and I’m a proud mom of 3 amazing kids who are my entire world, my entire heart, and my reasons “why”.
I’ve always been the main provider for my family — doing whatever it takes to make sure we’re taken care of, bills are paid, and there’s food on the table.
Yesterday, my world completely changed. I suffered a stroke and have been in the hospital ever since. While here, I was also diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) — A life changing diagnosis and something I never expected to face. Once I leave the hospital, I’ll be going to a rehab/nursing facility for at least 8 weeks with the doctors sure it could be longer to start the road of recovery and rebuild my strength, and use of my right extremities. Currently I lost all use of my right leg and have very minimal function in my right arm. I also have lost complete vision in my right eye!
I’m trying to stay strong, but being unable to provide for my kids right now is one of the hardest parts. I’m used to being the one holding everything together — now I have to lean on others, and that’s not easy for me.
So, I’m asking for help.
Help to keep the lights on.
Help to keep food in the house.
Help so my kids can have some stability while I fight to get better.
Every little bit — every donation, every share, every prayer — means more than I can ever put into words.
I’m staying hopeful, staying thankful, and staying focused on recovery so I can get back to the life I love and the people who mean the most to me.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart — for your support, kindness, and love during one of the hardest moments of my life.
With love,
Brittany
