A Mother’s Fight: Help Hanan and Her Son Hear and Thrive in
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Rayan, and I am a deaf mother to two deaf daughters. I have set up this fundraiser to help another deaf mother and her deaf child, who are in desperate need of financial assistance.
Hanan Reda is a devoted mother living in Egypt who has faced unimaginable challenges. Born with a hereditary hearing impairment, Hanan has navigated a world where communication is taken for granted. Today, she confronts an even greater struggle as she fights to support her young son, who has severe hearing loss.
At just three years old, her son is falling behind in developing speech due to worn-out hearing aids that barely function. His limited verbal expressions, including the infrequent utterance of “Mama,” are a heartbreaking testament to the obstacles he faces. As a deaf mother herself, Hanan is in desperate need of new hearing aids so that she can communicate effectively and guide her son through this critical phase of his development.
The financial burden is overwhelming. In addition to urgently needing proper hearing aids, Hanan and her son require intensive speech and language therapy. In Egypt, where access to affordable specialized care is limited, these essential services are prohibitively expensive. Without the proper support, her son’s opportunities for language development and social connection are rapidly diminishing.
I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the deaf community, and it is with a heavy heart that I reach out on behalf of Hanan and her son. No family should have to endure such hardships, and with your support, we can help provide them with the tools they need to communicate, learn, and thrive.
Please consider donating and sharing their story. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings them one step closer to a future filled with sound, connection, and hope.
