A Mother’s Fight: Battling Myositis and Financial Hardship
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Krystle, and I am a 32-year-old single mother of two amazing daughters, ages 13 and 17. In February 2022, I was diagnosed with a rare and incurable autoimmune disease called Myositis. This condition causes severe muscle weakness, limited mobility, and muscle deterioration. My life has changed drastically, but I am determined to keep pushing forward for the sake of my daughters.
In March 2024, my engagement ended, leaving me to carry the full financial responsibility of our household. Shortly after, I made a vulnerable decision to allow a long-time friend and his six children to move in, hoping we could help one another. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, and I am now left trying to recover from that decision.
Today, I am in dire financial straits. I work full-time remotely, but my salary alone cannot keep up with the mounting bills and responsibilities. I am behind on my mortgage, car note, utility bills, credit cards, and even basic necessities like groceries. My car is at risk of being repossessed, and I am struggling to make ends meet.
I am reaching out to ask for your help. Your support—whether it’s a financial contribution or simply sharing this story—can make a world of difference for my family. No amount is too small. Every single dollar will go toward catching up on bills, securing food, and ensuring that my daughters and I can stay in our home.
If you can, please donate or share this message with your network. Together, we can make it through this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
