A Mother’s Fight Against Brain Cancer

On January 28th, my sister’s life as a healthy, active 36 year old single mom changed in an instant.

It began with a sudden seizure, something that completely blindsided our entire family. Before that moment, the only things she had noticed were small changes: mood shifts and moments where she struggled to find the right words. Things that seemed easy to brush off at the time.

But that seizure led her to the hospital, where a CT scan revealed news no family is ever prepared to hear:

There was a tumor on her brain.

In that moment, everything changed. Her world went from normal everyday life with her children… to a fight for her life.

What followed was a whirlwind of fear, surgery, and life changing news.

Doctors removed the tumor, but the pathology results confirmed something devastating: Grade 3 Glioma brain cancer.

As if the diagnosis wasn’t enough, the tumor and surgery left her facing another unimaginable challenge. She is now relearning how to use the entire left side of her body.

Things she once did without even thinking,
walking across the room,
using her left arm,
hugging and picking up her children, are now things she is fighting every single day to do again through physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

Some days are incredibly hard. But she keeps pushing forward because she has two little reasons who need their mom. And she refuses to give up.

In the span of a single day, my sister went from being a busy single mom living her normal life to becoming a cancer patient facing a long and difficult road to recovery.

Right now, her full-time job is healing.

As a single mother, she is currently unable to work while undergoing intensive rehabilitation and ongoing cancer treatments. The medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and everyday expenses of caring for her children are quickly becoming overwhelming.

Your support will help give her the chance to focus on what matters most, fighting this cancer and getting stronger for her children.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Acute rehabilitation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy to help her regain movement on the left side of her body and help with her speech
• Life-saving cancer treatments for Grade 3 Glioma
• Supporting her children and helping keep their home stable while she recovers

If you are able to donate, please know that every dollar helps give her children something priceless, the chance to have their mom healthy and strong again.

If donating isn’t possible, sharing her story means just as much.

Our family is incredibly grateful for every prayer, every message, and every act of kindness during this heartbreaking time.

From the bottom of our hearts, please help us give her children their mom back.
