Hello, my name is Cecilia, and I am a mother of two young daughters. I never imagined I would be in a position where I would have to ask for help, but today I humbly reach out to you.

Recently, my husband was detained by immigration authorities, and during this extremely stressful time, he suffered three cardiac arrests. He had to undergo emergency open-heart surgery to save his life. It has been one of the most painful and frightening experiences our family has ever faced.

Since then, I have been doing everything I can to hold my family together. Because of everything that has happened, I am currently unable to work. I need to be by my husband’s side as he recovers from open-heart surgery and care for my daughters during this frightening and uncertain time. Without any income, the medical bills, rent, food, and the basic needs of my children continue to pile up. The emotional and financial weight has been overwhelming, and I feel the fear and uncertainty every single day as I try to keep my family safe and stable.

As a mother, all I want is to protect my children and provide them with security during this difficult chapter of our lives. I am asking for help so we can stay afloat and focus on healing as a family.
