Hello, my name is Carmen. I never imagined I would be in this position, but today I am asking for help for my children.
We are a family of four young children who depend completely on us. After giving birth to my baby by C-section, my health took a serious and unexpected turn. My incision became infected, I had to undergo drainage, I contracted a bacterial infection, and I developed a uterine fistula. My recovery has been painful, overwhelming, and ongoing.
Because of these complications, I was forced to leave my job. The maternity pay I received was used entirely to cover rent and basic utilities like electricity and water. We were left with no savings.
Right now, we have no stable income. Our only vehicle is beyond repair and has been declared a total loss, leaving us without reliable transportation for school and medical appointments. We are depending on others just to get to my medical visits and to take our daughters to and from school.
On top of everything, we are behind on rent and at risk of losing our home. The fear of possibly becoming homeless with four children is something no parent should have to face.
My husband is currently in the process of fixing his immigration documents, which has made it extremely difficult for him to find stable employment.
The funds raised will help us:
• Pay past-due rent and avoid eviction
• Cover medical expenses
• Secure reliable transportation
• Provide food and basic necessities for our children
As a mother, the hardest part is not the pain or exhaustion it is the fear in my heart when I think about not being able to give my children stability and safety. They deserve a roof over their heads, warm meals, and the chance to simply be children.
If you feel moved to help, please know that no donation is too small. Every contribution brings us closer to keeping our home and rebuilding our lives. If you cannot donate, sharing our story could truly make a difference.
From the bottom of my heart, I am asking for compassion and support during the most difficult season of our lives. Your kindness could be the reason my children have a safe place to sleep. Thank you for standing with our family.
