Hi, I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my stepmother, Maria Keyser, to help support the children of her daughter, Sara Vasquez.

On December 26, 2025, our family suffered an unimaginable loss. Sara Vasquez, a loving mother, daughter, and sister, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34.

Sara was a joyful, attentive, and deeply devoted mother to her three children: Josiah (14), Jaramias (12), and Ricco (4). Two of her children are autistic, and Sara poured every ounce of her energy, patience, and love into caring for them. The night before her passing, she stayed awake tending to her children. The following morning, after a family member arrived to help watch them so she could rest, an exhausted Sara agreed to accompany her boyfriend on a motorcycle ride. Tragically, during that ride, Sara collapsed and fell, losing her life.

Sara worked as a receptionist and did everything she could to provide for her children. She was the heart of their world, their constant, their safe place. Her sudden passing has left her children without their mother and our family facing emotional and financial challenges we never expected.

This fundraiser is to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, including the costs required to return Sara to Michigan, where her final resting place will be. Most importantly, these funds will help support her children as they navigate life without their mother, providing stability and assistance with their immediate and ongoing needs.
