Hi, I’m Jamie, mom to a 22-year-old daughter named Alicyn who has been battling congestive heart failure for three years while caring for her three-year-old daughter. She has survived nine codes, life support, an ostomy, and now lives with an LVAD heart pump that she depends on to survive.
In December 2025, we were told there were no more treatment options at six different medical centers for further help. We do not receive any home health services, and she does not have a nurse. Every part of her care, from medical tasks to daily support, is done by myself and her siblings. We rotate around the clock to help her keep stable and safe.
I work a full-time job and I also care for my five other children, and although we do everything we can, the physical, emotional, and financial weight has become more than we can carry alone. That’s why I’m asking for help.
