My name is Leena, and I am a single mother to six incredible children. Just recently, our world was shattered when a fire tore through our home. In a matter of minutes, everything we had built and treasured was gone clothes, school supplies, family memories, and the safety of a place to call home.

Right now, we are living with my mother. My children are sleeping on mattresses laid out on the living room floor, trying their best to cope with the huge change in their little lives. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see them without the security and comfort they deserve. I try to stay strong for them, but the truth is, starting over from nothing is overwhelming.

I reached out for help through Centrelink, only to be spoken to in a way that left me feeling dismissed and hopeless. Asking for help is not easy, but I refuse to give up on giving my children the stable home they need.

This GoFundMe is my only hope to start rebuilding our lives. Every donation will go towards replacing the most basic essentials clothes, bedding, school items and, in time, to securing a safe place for my children to grow and heal.
