Rebuilding Through Education and Career Support
Hi everyone,
My name is Dana Irvine, and I’m a mom of two beautiful girls working hard to provide for my family. Right now, we’re facing significant financial struggles, and I’m asking for your help to overcome a few major hurdles.
Like many families, we’ve been overwhelmed by mounting debt. With the rising cost of living and unexpected expenses, we’ve fallen behind financially. This debt weighs heavily on us, leaving little room to focus on building a brighter future. Returning to school and maintaining my professional license are critical steps toward regaining stability, but I need support to make that happen.
Here’s my situation: I’m working to transfer college credits to Middle Georgia State University to qualify for financial aid again. To do this, I need to complete several courses through Study.com, which comes with costs we simply can’t afford right now. School has always been a lifeline for us—financial aid not only helped me progress toward my psychology degree but also supplemented our family’s income. Without returning to school soon, I’ll lose this essential support and be required to start repaying student loans—something we can’t manage in our current situation.
In addition, I hold a life and health insurance license, which is an important qualification for my career. I currently work full-time as a licensed agent for BlueCross BlueShield, but I need $240 to complete continuing education credits to keep my license current. Losing this license would limit career opportunities that could help my family overcome our financial challenges.
I’m asking for your help to raise $2,000 to cover:
• Study.com courses and proctored exams needed to transfer my credits to MGA
• Continuing education fees to maintain my insurance license
Your donation will directly support my education through Study.com’s $235 monthly College Saver subscription and help me secure my professional license. Study.com allows me to earn transfer credits at my own pace while working full-time, saving significantly compared to a $2,519 semester out of pocket at MGA, not including textbooks and materials. My goal is to complete as many courses as possible on Study.com before the Spring 2025 semester begins (January 8th, or the “short session” starting March 5th for added flexibility).
Every dollar you give will help me stay on track with my school and career goals, providing a more stable future for my family. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer—big or small. Your generosity can help lift us out of this challenging time and move us closer to a brighter, more secure future.
