My cousin Audrey is one of the strongest women I know. As a single mother of three, she’s always put her kids first, as well as her friends, her family and her community. She is someone who constantly is sacrificing her own needs, and never asking for help. Someone who would give her own shirt off of her back, if it meant helping another person.

Last night, an MCL tear has turned her world upside down. After a ER visit, and strict restrictions, she’s now unable to work, facing possible surgery, and worried about how to keep a roof over her kids’ heads and food on the table. The bills don’t stop when you’re hurt, and right now, she’s in pain physically, emotionally, and financially. It’s an estimated 12 weeks off, and possibly longer.
