Help Us Get a Mobility Van for Jae
My name is Bob Liscio, and I’m raising funds to buy a wheelchair-accessible mobility van for my wife, Jae.
About thirty years ago, a surgical mistake left her with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), a painful neurological disorder that has affected nearly every part of her life. Then, about fifteen years ago, she was also diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It has progressed over time, and she now relies on a walker to get around. She will soon need a wheelchair. The walker barely fits into the trunk of the car; a wheelchair will be impossible.
I recently retired so I could care for her full-time, but I’ve quickly discovered how challenging it is to get her to doctor’s appointments, therapy sessions, or even small outings we used to enjoy. A mobility van would make such a difference — giving her the freedom and dignity to get out of the house safely and comfortably and giving me peace of mind as her caregiver.
These vans are expensive, and on a retirement income, it’s more than we can manage alone. We’re asking for help from friends, family, and anyone with a kind heart to contribute toward the cost of a reliable, wheelchair-accessible van.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to restoring a bit of independence and normalcy to her life. If you can’t give financially, please consider sharing this page — that helps more than you might realize.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
With gratitude,
Bob Liscio
