Luke 14:13-14
But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14 and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
As many of you know, my mother has long battled rheumatoid arthritis along with several other diagnosis inherited at a young age that have unfortunately left her crippled and confined to a life of limitations. I have witnessed years of trial and tribulation she's had to endure while raising my siblings and myself and now trying to do the best she can at being "Mamaw". I couldn't count the times I've seen the tears flow from her eyes in pain, wanting so badly to enjoy a normal life with her grandkids and do things with them that others do with ease and the older she gets the less amount of time I know I have to make sure she greets some form of happiness and joy before her time here has expired- and those of you that truly know this woman, you know that her health and diagnosis are just a tear drop in a bucket compared to the hardships she has been through and even through it all has some how managed to remain the most selfless, loving and genuine heart of gold you could ever meet.
I say all of that to say this-
I am taking a shot in the dark and seeing what I can come up with in order to try and get my mom an electric wheelchair because her hands are so crippled she is no longer able to pull a manual chair with her own hands. I just know that her heart would be full knowing what all she could do with her grandkids without having to depend on anyone else as well as the pain that will be lessened and hopefully a rise from depression and anxiety which she also suffers from. Mom would never ever ask for something like this nor would want me to do this so it will be hidden from her but I pray that each of you that are led by God to give, give with your heart and know that the cause is one of God.
