Tornado Ravages Home Help Michelle Heal & Rebuild
Donation protected
My younger sister Michelle Haughton, her daughter and her granddaughter are in need as they have lost everything, your support is needed for their recovery.
On Thursday, the 12th of January my sister’s neighborhood was hit by over a dozen tornadoes that occurred in Alabama. It was a pretty significant storm with debris lofted it in the air up to heights of 15,000 feet. The tornado that destroyed their home was an EF3 with sustaining winds speeds of 185 to 200 mph. This tornado totally destroyed my sister’s house, killed her beloved pets, and damaged vehicles, unfortunately, her next-door neighbors' bodies were found hanging from a tree. The only thing that remains on her property is the foundation of her home.
My sister Michelle was sucked out of the house by the tornado. The odds of anyone surviving this type of severe storm are rare, to say the least, but God protected her from being killed by debris being blasted by the extreme force of the winds. She suffered three broken ribs, a broken arm, and a severe blow to her head as she was blown into a tree along with several cuts and bruises. She is currently receiving medical attention in a hospital in Birmingham where several tests are being conducted to determine the extent of all of her injuries.
Michelle's daughter and granddaughter, as well as Michelle currently need help with their basic needs such as food, clothing, coats due to the cold weather they have experienced from the storm, temporary lodging, transportation and replacement of their cell phones for starters. They are waiting for the insurance company to respond. Your support is greatly needed to help begin the recovery process as they start rebuilding their life out of the ruins of the storm.
We will continue to update you regarding Michelle’s miraculous healing as we are believing God to perform. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for being a part of her resilient story. May God bless you.
