A Miracle For Vance: Recovery From Spinal Injury

WE ARE SWIMMING FOR VANCE!

Hi well wishers, my name is Kim, I am Director of SN Services, along with my  business partner Caroline, we provide at-home nursing and support services to children and adults with complex medical needs.

I will be swimming the acclaimed 2024 Busselton Jetty swim ...this will be my 9th time swimming and second time that I will be using this arena to raise money for an amazing cause.

To help me achieve this incredible experience I have brought in my BIG guns – 3 other amazing SN Services nurses Claire, Laurie, Laura who are willing not only to don the same zebra cossies but to swim through the potential fury of the 3.6 km swim.

I know you’re asking why we are putting ourselves through this …. we are asking the same question, but the answer is simple. To help our hero, Vance and his family.

A little bit about our hero Vance:

Young Vance was an active 4-year-old, who loved everything to do with the outdoors. A freak accident earlier this year resulted in a spinal cord injury leaving him confined to a wheelchair and reliant on a tracheostomy, which allows him to breathe.

We became aware of Vance and the Bycroft Family through our business when Vance's Dad, Matt, approached us to assist in the transition of Vance from Perth Children's Hospital to Busselton, a transition that has never been performed before between a care provider and Perth Children's Hospital, we were happy to help and the transition has been a smooth and stress free for the family and Vance.

We are asking you to please dig deep.... to help Vance and his family with the massive amounts of costs related to Vance’s disability and the impact it has had on him, his family and his future wellbeing.
