Hello everyone. My friend's and I are raising money to help our dear friend Mariana with medical expenses due to her Kidney and Heart failure.

In November of 2022, we found out the heartbreaking news that she was diagnosed with stage 5 chronic kidney failure, with her kidneys functioning at only 9% of what they should be. The last year and a half has been a rollercoaster of dialysis, treatments, and trying to find a donor for our girl. Finally, last month we got the amazing news that we finally found a donor! However, as extensive testing is needed there is a waiting period.

Time is a thief. Within the last week and a half her health has declined significantly. Due to her Kidneys failing, she had a heart attack. Her heart is now failing and she has been in the ICU over a week with pneumonia and a large amount of blood in her lungs.

Mariana's health insurance ran out in January, and she is extremely worried about the medical expenses that will come of all the surgeries and her time spent in the hospital. This is the last thing we want her to worry about when we just want her to focus on healing!

Although we are unsure of her current prognosis or what next steps will be for her, we know she is a fighter and can get through anything life throws at her. If you know Mariana you know she is the brightest light and someone who embodies what true friendship, strength, and support is.

Our group has been close for over 10 years now, and we are rallied around her the best we can- even though we are spread throughout the US. Through different states and thousands of miles, nothing breaks our bond. She's funny, kind, generous, and one of the most amazing people we have ever had the pleasure to know. She has inspired so many and has certainly left her mark! That's just the kind of person she is.
