Recently We have gotten the worst news any parent can imagine… On July 22nd 2022 Our son Avontta Jr .. Best known as Ajay was diagnosed with DIPG. For many people including us, have never even heard of DIPG or what it is or anything.. So let’s explain, DIPG stands for “Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma” it’s a type of tumor that starts in brain stem, the brain stem controls breathing, heart rate, and the nerves and muscles that help us see, hear, walk, talk, and eat. DIPG is rare.. About 10%-20% of childhood tumor are Gliomas. The only treatment that they have said to be proven to work temporarily to shrink the tumor and stop it from growing is radiation.. We know there is a way to beat this .. We are trying to also go a different way .. we are trying to do a more natural treatment as well.. We are looking into more Holistic treatments.. We also are interested in Clinical Trails .. That is where they test new medications to fight off the tumor.. The insurance companies don’t pay for these type of treatments but they would pay for radiation and things that are not natural.. Insurance doesn’t pay for clinical trials often either.Being more spiritual I know that there is higher power and purpose above that has the final say on everything but we are doing our best to find the best treatment for our son .. If you know Ajay you know he is the brightest, kindest most sweetest loving talented child you can come across .. he really is a sweet heart .. He loves to rap/sing , play basketball, video games , dance, do boxing , to be honest there is nothing that this little boy can’t do.. He is our superhero AjayTheStar.. We are fighting for a miracle and believe in our hearts that it will be.. Anything would help , it’s hard for us to ask for anything but for our child We would go above and beyond.
