A million meters for Jas
Donation protected
Gday, my name is Louis Cheeseman and I’m raising funds to help a beautiful young girl to access some activities which are close to her heart.
In July 2022, Jas had an accident while mountain biking on a family holiday. This resulted in a spinal cord injury and complete C5 quadriplegia. Needless to say, this catastrophic injury changed her life forever. This short video will help you to get to know Jas a little better and the million dreams we all wish for Jas.
Two years on from her accident, Jas continues to try to find new ways to still do the things she enjoys in a largely inaccessible world.
Whether that is an adapted bike or kayak to get out into nature or a manual wheelchair to help her to squeeze into cafes with her friends.
Unfortunately, mobility equipment comes with a hefty price tag, so any amount that I can raise will go a long way to opening up Jas’s world.
Jas and her family (Leon, Sophie and brother Charlie) have already had so much support from family, friends and strangers to get them to this stage. Jas is now ready to tackle some new challenges and adventures.
To help raise awareness and Funds for Jas, I am cycling solo from Adelaide to Melbourne departing on January 15 and arriving in Melbourne on January 20. I am hoping to promote this worthy cause during the Tour Down Under and in each town I stop in.
So even if you do or don’t know this amazing young girl and her awesome family, please feel free to donate and share this story.
Jasmine’s story was first told via “A million dreams for Jas ”. My ride will be just over 1000kms hence the title “A million meters for Jas”.
Channel 10 did a follow up story when Jas first came out of hospital. Watch story here Jas on the news
I’ve never known a family more worthy of having some good things come their way.
This ride is fully self funded so all donations go Directly to Jasmine.
I Thank you in advance for your support and wish me well on my ride for Jas.
