There are moments in life that shake us to our core — moments that remind us just how fragile, precious, and unpredictable our time here truly is. The sudden and tragic loss of our dear friend Lisa has left a hole that simply cannot be filled. She was a light in every room, a steady warmth in every storm, and a soul whose kindness reached further than she ever realized.
PELINO, Lisa – Daughter of Margaret and Peter Pelino
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lisa Marie Pelino on Wednesday November 12th, 2025. Lisa leaves behind her best friend and soulmate Paul Trudel, and her loving children Tasha Trudel, and Josh Trudel. She is dearly missed by her mother Margaret Pelino, her sister Deanna Pelino, her brother Paul Pelino, and many other extended family and dear friends.
Lisa was taken from us too soon. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, and the way she lit up a room everywhere she went. In her spare time she was a poet, an artist and an avid gardener.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday November 29th at the Croatian National Banquet Hall, 6 Broadway Avenue in Welland from 1 pm - 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ICU at the Welland hospital through: Donate - Niagara Health Foundation, and would be appreciated by her family. Online condolences and pictures may be shared at bennerfuneralservices.ca.
Following a devastating fire that has claimed all but a few possessions, we are asking everyone to extend themselves even just a little... before the holiday is upon us.
Today, we come together for someone who has always been there for all of us — our friend, Paul. A man whose life has been forever altered, whose world has been turned upside down, and who now faces the unimaginable task of moving forward without the love of his life by his side.
Their handprints in the drywall and construction industry of Niagara region have long been ingrained in our community.
Lisa touched every one of us in quiet, meaningful ways. Whether through her laughter, her generosity, or the way she made every person feel seen, she left an imprint on our hearts that time will never erase. And as we carry her memory, we want to carry Paul too — not just in spirit, but in real, tangible support as he navigates the difficult road ahead.
This GoFundMe has been created to help Paul rebuild, recover, and breathe again. To provide him with some relief during a chapter no one is ever prepared for. To remind him that he is not alone — that he is surrounded by friends, family, and a community who love him deeply and who wish to lift even a small part of this weight from his shoulders.
If Lisa taught us anything, it was the importance of caring for one another. Of showing up. Of loving without hesitation. This is our way of honouring her spirit and supporting her beloved husband as he learns to place one foot in front of the other again.
On behalf of all who knew and cherished Lisa, and with all the love we have for Paul, we thank you for anything you can give — a donation, a share, a message of support, or simply your prayers.
With love and gratitude,
A very long list of family, close friends, community, colleagues, builders and more
Its time to use our hands to give what their hands gave to us all...
