Greetings, my name is Kimo Watanabe and I'm helping the Hinson family raise funds for Jim who passed away on May 27th, 2022. He passed away shortly after discovering that he had cancer and it was sudden and unexpected.

I knew him through our friendship with his girlfriend, Angela Elliot, who I've been acquainted with for several years through the music community. I'll always remember him for his smart quip and sarcastic sense of humor. His love for life, his three kids: Jared, Tory, Abby, cats and Angela always showed through whenever we Zoomed together. I was fortunate to have met him in person when Failure and Swervedriver played in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theater a couple years back.

Jim will be sorely missed but is no longer in pain on this plane of existence.
