Honoring Zach: A One of a Kind Soul Taken Too Soon
Zach wasn’t just a person in our lives. He was a whole experience. Bright hair, big energy, sharp humor, soft heart, loud mouth, Gay, emo, girly, dramatic, and beautifully himself every second he was alive. He was the friend who made you forget how heavy life was for a minute. The kind of person you only get once.
This year broke him. Both of his parents just died months ago, and he was trying to survive grief on top of grief the universe took someone who deserved healing
His sister Grace is handling the cremation and all the horrible logistics that come with losing someone suddenly. She has no parents anymore, and she’s doing all this with a baby in her arms. She is doing the best she can while the ground is falling out under her for the 3rd time in a row now this year.
And because it’s the holidays, nobody has money. Everyone is stretched thin, no one expected this, grieving, and trying to piece themselves together long enough to just get him taken care of respectfully.
We’re raising money for:
• A memorial service that actually reflects who he was
• Help for his sister, who is carrying more pain than anyone should
• Care for Roxy, Zach’s dog, who adored him and is now being taken in by my sister Lindsey
Roxy needs food, vet care, vaccines, and long-term support so she can have a stable home. She was Zach’s heart. Keeping her alive and safe is part of honoring him.
Zach gave so much love and color to this world, even when he was hurting. The least we can do is give him a proper goodbye
