My niece Morgan had to do the unimaginable and say goodbye to her 2-year-old daughter today. Josie would have turned 3 in just a couple of weeks. Now, instead of planning a birthday party, Morgan is tasked with planning a funeral. Josie was disconnected from life support in the early morning hours of August 27, 2026, after giving it her all for days. She was tough. She was a fighter, just like her mother. And she left this world surrounded by love and strength and her mother's arms.

During a time when it's hard to know how to help after such a tragic loss, I know easing financial worry would go a long way. These funds will mainly help cover funeral costs and some type of memorial gift honoring Josie's life, along with any lingering bills and absent funds from missing work. Morgan and her 3 other kids (ages 5, 6, and 10) are grieving terribly and forced to move forward in a life without their youngest, feistiest, most-spirited member.
