The light, the sunshine, and the warmest person in everyone’s life. Joanna truly transcended the meaning of being a friend, a teacher, a sister, a daughter, and a fiance. There is a common thread in every individual that knew Joanna—that she was a truly special and one of a kind individual.

Joanna’s last day on earth was spent with her students. Joanna’s kindness, drive, and dedication to her students was unwavering. Joanna was not only dedicated to her students, however. Joanna touched every single person in her life in some capacity. She was the friend that you called when you needed someone. She was the teacher that only led with love and patience during the difficult days. She was the sister that you called when you needed advice (or a DoorDash treat). She was the daughter that continuously made her parents proud. She was the fiance that poured love into every gesture, providing a natural sense of home. Joanna will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on every single person in her life. There were no strangers to Joanna—only boundless love and sunshine to share.
