On the morning of June 19, 2026, our family suffered the unexpected loss of Charlie McGuire. Charlie proudly served the Carol Stream Police Department for 30 years before retiring in 2019. His retirement came much sooner than he had hoped due to ongoing health challenges.

His passing was sudden and has left family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken and unprepared for this tremendous loss.

We are asking for donations to help cover funeral and memorial expenses during this difficult time. Any additional funds raised will go directly to supporting his son, Richard, who was the center of Charlie’s world. Richard, who has Down syndrome, shared an incredibly close bond with his father and is understandably devastated by the loss of his dad and best friend.
