Hi my name is Taylor , I am am the mother too those 3 beautiful babies in the picture you see ! Sadly the picture of the baby my son Sylas passed away in 2017. He was only 3 months old when he got his angel wings! Sylas Kenneth-John was his name born June 11, 2017 ! Sylas was a beautiful baby my 3rd child but my first and only son ! He was born into this world with not one but two loving sister Lillian and Arabella! We thought our family was complete but sadly that wasn't the way it played out . Our handsome little boy was born with a very rare breathing condition called "Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome" CCHS for Short He also was born with Hirschsprung's Disease ! Two very rare disease ! How rare are both of these disease well CCHS has only about 1,000 cases identified worldwide! Sylas was 3rd in New York State alone to be diagnosed with CCHS ! Hirschsprung disease rareness affecting about 1 in every 5,000 live births! Easiest way to explain what both these disease are is with the CCHS sometimes Sylas could be breathing normal and on his own no problem. But out of nowhere sometimes his diaphragm just wouldn't tell him to breath . Witch would lead him to not release CO2 and get CO2 poising. Hirschsprung disease is where he was born with no nerves at the end of his rectum so he couldn't push bowel movements out . Both disease lead him to have very major surgery's at only days old . Sylas first surgery was a tracheotomy where he got a trach put in and picked up to a ventilator to help him breathe. Not even a day later he got a colostomy bag put in . With in very short first hours/days of this precious little boys life he went through so much pain and life changing events then most adults do there whole entire lifes! Sylas suffered with these horrible disease for 3 whole months untill sadly they took his life on August 13th, 2017 ! He was only 3 months old but in those short few months he bared so much pain! But also had his two sister and I right by his side the whole time ! Sylas was cremated and had a small service for family and friends. But that is it , all I have is his little ashes in his urn he does not have a tombstone.So the whole reason of this Go fund me page is to have a brick memorial in honor of Sylas name at the Butterfly park in Liverpool NY. Somewhere that more than just his sister's and I can visit and remember this beautiful little baby boy ! Somewhere his sister's can go and talk and visit there brother ! somewhere I can go sit and remember the amazing but short days I had with my son .Down below are 3 options they have you can get for the memorial for Sylas !
